UPDATE Dec. 5, 2016: Familial DNA led to the arrest of a Lorain man in the abduction of a Cleveland girl in May and the attempted abduction of an Elyria girl last February. Justin Andrew Christian, 29, was arrested Friday on charges of kidnapping and rape.
The FBI and local police are searching for a serial abductor who has grabbed at least two kids from Cleveland homes. There is an alert for the entire state of Ohio.
Crime Watch Daily's Elizabeth Smart sits down with the parents of the two innocent victims.
A 6-year-old girl was taken from her home on West 104th Street on May 21. She was found safe on Lyric Avenue after being held for more than 17 hours. Authorities said the abduction is related to a Feb. 25 incident, where a man tried to pull a 10-year-old girl through her bedroom window.
The FBI says it's the same man, a serial kidnapper -- and he's still out there.
Forensic evidence has determined the man who attempted to abduct a 10-year-old girl through a window in Elyria is the same man who took the 6-year-old in Cleveland. And the FBI believes their suspect may be responsible for more abductions in nearby communities.
The suspect was captured on video surveillance brazenly stalking his prey before pouncing.
"He walks with a specific gait. He has a different kind of walk we want people to pay attention to," said Elyria Police Detective Sgt. Don Moss.
The 6-year-old described the man as having a square face and recalled seeing animals on the walls where she was held.
The man was seen driving a 2002 or 2003 Chevy Malibu with a mismatched quarterpanel and rear spoiler.
Law enforcement personnel are working around the clock to catch this accused depraved predator.
