WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TCD) -- A woman was arrested after she reportedly hit her daughter in the face with a box of cookies during an argument.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on Monday, Feb. 6, at 6:33 p.m., a Wichita Falls Police Department officer went to an apartment on Nunneley Place regarding a family disturbance.
When the officer arrived, he spoke with the daughter, who said she and her mother, Rhonda Kyle, both lived in the apartment. The affidavit says the daughter, who remained unnamed, was sitting on the couch when Kyle "swung a box of Vanilla Wafers at her face."
The box allegedly hit her left cheek, and she said she "felt pain from being hit in the face with the box of Vanilla Wafers."
The daughter, however, did not want to press charges.
The officer reportedly spoke with Kyle, who alleged her daughter came home and "started yelling at cursing at her."
Kyle reportedly said her daughter was "calling her names," so Kyle retrieved the box of cookies and hit her. The daughter allegedly punched Kyle in the face twice, and Kyle called police.
Kyle was booked into the Wichita County Jail on a charge of assault family violence, which is a misdemeanor.
A judge set her bond at $2,000.
