HOUSTON (TCD) -- An infant who went missing when her parents were likely murdered in the 1980s has been located and identified.
According to the Texas Attorney General’s Office, a couple was found dead in a wooded area in Houston in 1981, but it would take 40 years for them to be positively identified as Tina Gail Linn Clouse and Harold Dean Clouse Jr. Gail and Harold had a little girl named Holly, but she was nowhere to be found when the bodies were discovered.
The Clouse family started searching for more answers about Gail and Harold’s deaths and Baby Holly’s current whereabouts. Several law enforcement agencies worked with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to track down Holly, who the attorney general described as "alive and well."
Holly is now 42 years old and has been told about her parents' identities.
Holly’s grandmother, Donna Casasanta said, "Finding Holly is a birthday present from heaven since we found her on Junior’s birthday."
Several other families say they look forward to meeting and connecting with a family member they wondered about for decades.
According to KHOU-TV, Holly is a mother of five who lives in Oklahoma.
First Assistant Attorney General Brent Webster revealed in a press conference that Holly was left at a church in Arizona and "taken into their care."
Webster shared, "Two women who identified themselves as members of a nomadic religious group brought Holly to the church. They were wearing white robes and were barefoot."
The family members who raised her are not suspects in the case, but Webster called on the public for help because the case has not been closed yet.
