Ohio teen accused of fatally shooting 18-year-old high school girlfriend

BRUNSWICK, Ohio (TCD) -- An 18-year-old man was arrested after allegedly fatally shooting his 18-year-old girlfriend.
According to a media release from the Brunswick Police Department, on Tuesday, May 3, at approximately 11:02 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Southwick Boulevard to a report of a shooting. At the scene, an 18-year-old female, whose name has not been released, was fatally shot, police say.
According to the Akron Beacon Journal, the victim was believed to be a student at Brunswick City Schools in her senior year. The school district reportedly put out a statement, mentioning that a senior had died Tuesday, and the crisis response team would be in place at the institution for students and staff.
Upon further investigation, WKYC-TV reports that authorities learned the victim was allegedly shot by her boyfriend, Logan Robertson.
Robertson was reportedly arrested and booked into the Medina County Jail on a charge of murder.
