TULSA, Okla. (TCD) -- A woman was recently arrested after allegedly assaulting a Sonic carhop for taking too long with her food order.
According to a press release from the Tulsa Police Department, on April 9 at approximately 10 p.m., officers responded to a Sonic restaurant near 59th and South Lewis to a report of an assault with a weapon.
Upon further investigation, officers reportedly learned Stacy Minihan was sitting in a Ford Expedition at one of the stalls at Sonic when the carhop delivered her food. Minihan allegedly got angry with the employee because the food order took too long.
The carhop reportedly told Minihan the restaurant was short-staffed. According to police, witnesses reportedly saw Minihan exit the Ford Expedition, push the food tray out of the server’s hand, and punch the Sonic employee in the chest.
One witness allegedly followed Minihan and tried to record her license plate information. As the witness followed the suspect, Minihan reportedly pulled over, exited her car, and shot the witness with a Kimber PepperBlaster pepper ball gun, hitting the witness multiple times in the face. Police say the witness was bleeding from the head.
According to police, officers located Minihan at a nearby Quicktrip. Authorities reportedly recovered multiple items in Minihan’s possession, including the pepper ball gun, approximately 30 grams of meth, and other drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and trafficking meth, police say.
