COVENTRY, Ohio (TCD) --
Two people in Ohio were charged with drug offenses after an explosion blew up a garage attached to a house on Friday, Aug. 14.
Coventry Fire Department personnel and Summit County Sheriff's deputies responded to an explosion at a residence on South Main Street in Coventry Township at about 6 a.m. Friday, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
Nine occupants of the home were evacuated, the sheriff's office said. Firefighters extinguished a fire in the single-car attached garage. No one was injured.
Deputies determined two residents had been manufacturing methamphetamine in the garage before it exploded. The sheriff's office alleges substances believed to be meth and fentanyl were found at the property, along with baggies.
Cliff Cundiff, 36, and Jennifer Hanam, 35, were arrested and charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for manufacture of drugs. The sheriff's office said further charges were possible.
