PHOENIX (TCD) --
An Arizona man who called police to report a break-in was arrested after officers reportedly found large amounts of illegal drugs and cash in his home, police said Monday.
Phoenix Police said John Harbison, 42, called to report a possible break-in at his residence near 15th Ave. and Roosevelt St. on Sunday, February 28.
KSAZ-TV reports Harbison allowed responding officers into his apartment to investigate, where there was “a large quantity of drugs in plain view,” police said.
Phoenix Police said officers found 6,000 fentanyl pills, 392 grams of methamphetamine, a handgun, and $4,685 in cash. KSAZ reports a scale, plastic bags and needles were also found.
Officers also said there was no sign of a break-in at the residence.
Harbison was arrested for possession and sale of dangerous narcotics. He was released on bond and was due back in court on March 10.
