COLUMBIA, Tenn. (TCD) --
Police arrested a fugitive Wednesday wanted for shooting his infant daughter on Saturday during an altercation with the girl's mother.
Columbia Police announced the arrest of Kobia Eugene Lloyd, 21, on Wednesday.
Columbia Police said during an altercation with his girlfriend in an apartment complex parking lot on Hallmark Drive around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, Lloyd allegedly shot into the woman's car, striking their 8-month-old daughter.
Lloyd was wanted on four counts of attempted first-degree murder, felony reckless endangerment, and aggravated child endangerment.
According to WKRN-TV, Lloyd and his girlfriend got into the argument while they were sitting in the car. As Lloyd got out, the 22-year-old girlfriend reportedly tried to drive away with their three kids in the car: a 2-year-old, a 1-year-old, and the 8-month-old.
Lloyd then allegedly jumped on the car and fired a shot through the roof. The bullet struck their 8-month-old daughter, who sat behind the driver's seat, in the head.
Lloyd fled the scene. The mother drove the injured girl to the hospital, where police said the little girl was in critical but stable condition.
WKRN reported police apprehended Kobia Lloyd in a parking lot in Columbia on Wednesday.
