Alabama woman accused of fatally running over her boyfriend

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (TCD) -- A 28-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly running over her boyfriend on purpose earlier this week.
According to WBRC-TV, on Tuesday, Feb. 8, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency responded to the area of I-59/20 Southbound near mile marker 76 to a report of a pedestrian struck. At the scene, authorities reportedly found a man, 27-year-old Dennis Melton of Demopolis, trapped under the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and later succumbed to his injuries, WBRC reports.
According to the Demopolis Times, the fatal incident was initially believed to be an accident, but upon further investigation, authorities learned that it may have been intentionally done by the victim's girlfriend, 28-year-old Angelica Quintana.
Quintana was reportedly arrested and charged with murder. According to WBRC, she was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $500,000 bond.
