Woman found dead in locked storage unit she reportedly lived in for several days

LAS VEGAS (TCD) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a suspicious death after a woman's body was found locked inside a storage unit this week.
According to KLAS-TV, on Monday, March 28 at approximately 6:30 a.m., officers responded to the 8800 block of Centennial Pkway. At the scene, officers reportedly discovered the body of a white woman believed to be in her 50s.
In a press conference aired by KTNV-TV, Lieutenant Ray Spencer said the woman's death is considered suspicious and that there was "zero chance" she was accidentally locked in. In the press conference, Spencer also said authorities believe the woman had been living in the storage unit for the last several days.
According to KTNV, the coroner will likely determine the woman's official cause of death on Tuesday, March 29.
Police reportedly do not know who the official renter of the storage unit is. The investigation remains ongoing.
