Missouri woman allegedly shot McDonald’s worker over french fries discount argument

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (TCD) -- A 30-year-old woman allegedly shot a McDonald’s restaurant worker this week over an argument about a discount on french fries.
Normandy Police told KTVI-TV that Terika Clay went to the McDonald’s drive-thru on the 1700 block of South Florissant Road on Wednesday, Jan. 19, when she and an employee had a disagreement regarding the fries. According to court documents obtained by KTVI, Clay threatened to shoot the employee, and when the victim left the restaurant for a break, Clay hit the worker with a gun before shooting her.
The victim was reportedly released from the hospital after suffering a superficial wound.
According to KTVI, police were able to recover the incident on video via surveillance cameras.
KMOV-TV reports that Clay was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Her bond was reportedly set at $150,000. According to KTVI, if released on bond, Clay will not be allowed to be within 1,000 feet of the McDonald’s or the victim.
