Florida boys found murdered in home; aunt's boyfriend arrested

In a news conference on Friday, Putnam County Sheriff Homer DeLoach said detectives arrested Mark Wilson Jr., 30, and recovered a hammer and knife, the murder weapons, in less than 48 hours after the killings occurred at 129 Shiloh Road. Wilson was charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
DeLoach said Wilson was well-known to the family and is dating the victims' aunt. The pair were staying in a shed on the property and several people interviewed told detectives the boys' parents were trying to help them from being homeless.
Wilson has an extensive criminal history in Alachua County for possession of controlled substances, burglary of a structure, grand theft of a motor vehicle and dealing in stolen property, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
MELROSE, Fla. (WJXT) -- A 30-year-old man was arrested late Thursday night and charged with the murder of two young brothers in Melrose.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced Mark Wilson Jr. is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 12-year-old Robert Baker and 14-year-old Tayten Baker.
The boys' mother found their bodies "with traumatic injuries" in a common area in their Shiloh Road residence when she woke up on Wednesday morning, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said. The brothers were deceased at the scene when first-responders arrived. A hammer and a knife were used in the attacks, the sheriff's office said in a Friday morning news conference.
A younger sibling was not harmed.
At Friday morning's news conference, Putnam County Sheriff Gator DeLoach said the Baker family had allowed Wilson, the boyfriend of the boys' aunt, to live in a shed on their property.
Wilson is being held without bond and was scheduled to appear before a judge Saturday on the murder charges.
Putnam County Sheriff Gator DeLoach said the Bakers had moved from Polk County to Interlachen just over two weeks ago to be closer to family.
