Police seek woman seen in viral video racist tirade against Asian-American woman

TORRANCE, Calif. (City News Service) -- A woman shown accosting an Asian American woman who was exercising in a Torrance park this week is a 56-year-old woman from Long Beach, police said Friday.
Video of the woman telling a younger woman in the park to “Go back to whatever [expletive] Asian country you belong in” has gone viral.
Torrance Police identified the woman as Lena Hernandez at a press conference Friday. Police said she is also suspected of assaulting another woman in October in a shopping mall.
Hernandez also appears to be the woman in another video showing a man being similarly accosted. “You need to go home,” the woman tells the man in the video.
KNBC reports a case was being presented to the city attorney to determine if she could be charged with a crime.
Torrance Police Chief Eve Irvine said police have been trying to track Hernandez down.
