Wanted Ohio man arrested for allegedly shooting pregnant woman in the head

AKRON, Ohio (TCD) -- A 21-year-old wanted man was arrested for allegedly fatally shooting a pregnant 21-year-old woman earlier this year.
According to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service, Jeremiah Williams reportedly killed Teyaurra Harris on April 14 after a shootout between two groups of people broke out on Rockaway Street. The Marshals Service said at least 30 rounds from three different guns were fired.
During the shooting, Harris was reportedly inside a car riding by when she was fatally hit in the head. Jeremiah Williams was allegedly the one who shot the bullet, and he was wanted by the Akron Police Department.
On Thursday, Sept. 22, the Marshals Service said Williams was arrested at a home near the 1200 block of Juneau Street.
According to the Akron Beacon Journal, the driver of the car Harris was in was not hurt in the shooting, but a 19-year-old woman nearby was hit and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
In a statement, U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said, "Outstanding investigative work by the Akron Police Department solved this senseless and tragic act of gun violence. Today, our task force took a violent man off the street and hopefully brought the family of Teyaurra Harris one step closer to the justice they deserve."
