Florida monkey owner arrested in North Carolina; monkey accused of biting Home Depot worker

FLORIDA -- (WPTV) -- The Okeechobee County woman whose monkey is accused of attacking a Home Depot employee has been arrested out of state.
Tina Ballard moved to North Carolina because she believed Florida Fish and WildlifeConservation Commission would take her monkey. She was there caring for her mother.
The Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant after Ballard failed to show up for a bond hearing.
She was arrested by police in North Carolina and will be brought back to Florida.
Ballard is facing charges including tampering with evidence.
