OLNEY, Md. (TCD) -- Police arrested a 31-year-old man with a history of charges for sex crimes after he allegedly sexually assaulted a teen girl this month.
According to the Montgomery County Police Department, on July 20 at approximately 7 p.m., Joshua Black allegedly "lured" the girl into a wooded area near the 17700 block of Prince Philip Drive and assaulted her. Police said they "quickly developed Black as a suspect" and took him into custody at his home in Olney without incident.
Black was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and is being held without bond. Court records show he is being charged with three counts of second-degree rape and three counts of third-degree sex offense. Additional records indicate he has faced charges for sex-related crimes in the past. In April 2022, University of Maryland Police arrested Black on sex offense and assault charges.
WUSA-TV reports the July 20 victim is 14 years old. Black allegedly masturbated under a towel near a public pool in May, but he was not charged. He also reportedly followed girls at a nearby high school.
According to WUSA, Black is wanted out of New York for similar crimes.
Police are urging anyone else who might be a victim to come forward.
