SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah (KSTU) -- South Salt Lake Police say Brandon Bott, 31, and two other men met outside an apartment on the 300 East block of Crimson Circle on Wednesday. The trio allegedly forced their way by gunpoint into the apartment and duct-taped one victim's head and mouth.
While Bott and the other two suspect began taking items from the home, the duct-taped victim escaped. Police say two of the suspects chased him and beat him severely.
The first victim, still in the apartment, broke free from restraints and yelled for help, sending Bott fleeing the location in the victim's car.
Bott was located at his home Wednesday afternoon with the victim's car and cellphone. Bott was booked on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary and vehicle theft.
