Texas man accused of intentionally fatally striking acquaintance with car after argument

CLEBURNE, Texas (TCD) -- Police are searching for 23-year-old suspect who allegedly fatally struck an acquaintance with a car.
According to a news release from the Cleburne Police Department, on Sunday, May 15, at around 8:54 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 100 block of Huron Street to a report of a vehicular crash. Police learned a male struck three people with his car, including one who died.
In an update posted by police, authorities said the suspect was identified as Alejandro Lopez. He allegedly fled the scene after the incident.
According to KDFW-TV, Lopez knew and intentionally hit the victim who died, 32-year-old Jesus Munoz. In addition to fatally striking Munoz, Lopez reportedly hit two women who survived and were transported to a nearby hospital. One of the women allegedly suffered multiple broken ribs.
Investigators told KDFW Lopez fatally struck Munoz after an argument between the two. The victim's brother reportedly said he witnessed Lopez enter his truck and hit his brother.
On Monday, May 16, officers reportedly located an abandoned Chevy pickup Lopez was driving in Johnson County, though Lopez is not yet in custody. Police say an arrest warrant for murder has been issued for Lopez.
