FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (TCD) -- Police arrested a 23-year-old man this week on suspicion of killing his 20-year-old friend, who went missing nearly nine months ago.
According to a news release from the Prince George’s County Police Department, on April 15, 2023, officers went to Damion Myers’ home on the 12000 block of Nevil Lane after family members reported him missing. The relatives told police they last saw Myers leaving their residence on April 14, 2023, seeking a ride from his friend Parrish Goode.
Detectives opened a missing persons investigation and obtained evidence suggesting Myers had been fatally shot inside Goode’s vehicle. However, investigators have not yet found Myers’ remains.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Goode on Dec. 21, and took him into custody on Dec. 27.
According to police, during his arrest, Goode "admitted to shooting Myers and disposing of his body in the Fort Washington area." Investigators are still looking into a possible motive.
Goode was charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges. He remains held without bond.
