NORTON SHORES, Mich. -- (WXMI) -- Investigators returned to a home connected to a man suspected of murder and an attempted abduction.
Police were searching the home of Jeffrey Willis's grandfather in Norton Shores.
Willis is awaiting trial for the murder of Rebekah Bletsch in 2014 and an attempted abduction of a girl this spring.
Willis is also a person of interest in the disappearance of Jessica Heeringa in 2013 from a Norton Shores gas station.
Police had searched the home after Willis's arrest. Muskegon County Prosecutor D.J. Hilson tells FOX 17 that they were searching the same area today using a “different forensic technique.” A new search warrant had been issued for the home.
Willis's cousin, Kevin Bluhm, recently pleaded guilty to lying to police in the course of the Heeringa investigation.
Willis's grandfather passed away in 2011.
