Ark. woman accused of fatally stabbing girlfriend and wrapping body in blanket

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (TCD) -- A 28-year-old woman is accused of fatally stabbing her girlfriend and wrapping her body in blankets after an altercation.
On Jan. 11, at 9:14 p.m., Little Rock Police went to a resident at 1001 Breckenridge Drive for a burglary in progress. When they arrived, they reportedly learn about an "unresponsive person in the parking lot," who was then pronounced deceased.
Police identified Chelsea McKenzly as a suspect in the person's death and arrested her on charges of first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidnece.
According to court documents cited by KARK-TV, McKenzly allegedly called police to report someone broke into her apartment and she found her friend wrapped in a blanket next to her car. All four car doors were reportedly open, and the victim's body was next to the vehicle.
McKenzly reportedly told police she was visiting from out of town, but police learned McKenzly lived in an apartment at the Breckenridge Drive address with her girlfriend.
McKenzly allegedly told detectives she tried taking her girlfriend to the hospital, but she needed assistance getting her into the car because the body was too heavy. McKenzly later reportedly admitted to stabbing her girlfriend several times during an argument and cleaning up the scene after.
KNWA-TV reports McKenzly allegedly told detectives her girlfriend choked her and went up to her with a knife during the fight, which caused McKenzly allegedly take a knife and stab the her.
Police reportedly found drag marks leading from the apartment.
According to the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Little Rock Police identified the victim as 36-year-old Tiffany Williams.
McKenzly was booked into the Pulaski County Jail and is being held on $1 million bond.
