CALLAWAY, Fla. (TCD) -- Deputies arrested two women this week who allegedly got into a physical fight at a Fourth of July house party thrown by minors.
According to a news release from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, on July 4, deputies responded to a home at 6530 Olokee St. to a report of an assault and battery. At the scene, the Sheriff’s Office learned a group of unsupervised minors threw a party at a nearby home.
Shortly after midnight, several men got into a physical altercation at the gathering, and 23-year-old Macy Regan tried to leave and go home to 6530 Olokee St. According to the Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Dixie Stiles confronted Regan as she was trying to leave the party and accused her of taking alcohol and vape pens.
Regan then allegedly took out a 9 mm handgun from her waistband and Stiles pushed the gun away before they got into a physical fight. During the altercation, the Sheriff’s Office said Regan allegedly "bit the top of Stiles’ ear off."
The victims sustained bruises and lacerations from the fight, and Stiles’ ear could not be reattached, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Stiles was charged with battery — touch or strike, and Regan faces a charge of felony battery causing bodily harm. The investigation remains ongoing.
