In January, Letecia Stauch said she last saw 11-year-old Gannon heading to a friend's home in their suburban El Paso County, Colorado neighborhood.
She was arrested for Gannon's murder in South Carolina later that month and was extradited to Colorado. Also in March, remains found near Pensacola, Florida were officially confirmed as Gannon's.
In June, Stauch allegedly sent letters to another inmate with detailed plans of her plot to escape the El Paso County jail.
Letecia Stauch's arrest affidavit alleges she killed Gannon in his bedroom in Colorado on Jan. 27. She allegedly dumped the boy's body in a rural area of Douglas County, Colorado the next night. Stauch is charged with first-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death, tampering with a deceased human body and tampering with physical evidence.
