SALT LAKE CITY (KSTU) -- A former Salt Lake City International Airport executive was arrested Wednesday after investigators say Google tipped them off to tens of thousands of explicit images of children stored on the man's Google Photos account.
Randall Berg, 69, faces 25 sexual exploitation of a minor charges (second-degree felonies) and one third-degree felony charge of obstructing justice.
In January, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was notified by Google reports that a Gmail account belonging to Berg contained "suspected files of child pornography" on Google Photos, according to a statement of probable cause.
On Wednesday, police served a search warrant on Berg's home in Draper, where they say they found an additional 19,000 images in his computer's recycle bin of young girls ages 5 to 13 being sexually abused.
Police say when they interviewed Berg, he admitted to downloading and viewing child pornography since 2002.
