NICEVILLE, Fla. (TCD) -- A 40-year-old Alabama man stands accused of attacking and assaulting multiple victims, including a juvenile, following a road rage incident.
On April 21, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Boggy Bayou Store on Highway 20 to a report of a physical altercation in the parking lot. Deputies learned Thomas Keebler allegedly "followed the victim into the store and parked in front of their vehicle to prevent them from leaving after tailgating them and aggressively passing the car on Highway 20."
The driver was reportedly with one adult and one juvenile passenger. The Sheriff’s Office did not disclose the juvenile victim’s age.
Authorities obtained surveillance footage from the store that showed Keebler "aggressively exiting his truck," the Sheriff’s Office said. He then allegedly pounced toward a passenger and tried to hit the back seat passenger. Keebler reportedly kicked the door as the third passenger attempted to leave the car and shoved the juvenile victim to the ground. When the driver tried to intervene, Keebler allegedly placed him in a "headlock" and hit him multiple times in the head.
Following the physical fight, Keebler fled the scene.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Keebler turned himself into the Walton County Jail on April 25 and was charged with criminal mischief, child abuse, and battery. He was released on $5,000 bond the next day.
