La. man accused of burning down ex-girlfriend’s camper, fatally shooting her dogs

LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (TCD) -- A 31-year-old man is accused of beating his ex-girlfriend, fatally shooting her dogs, and setting fire to the camper where she lived with her brother and infant.
On Sunday, Feb. 5, Livingston Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home to a report of shots fired, WAFB-TV reports. At the scene, authorities reportedly learned the home had been engulfed in flames.
A woman, her baby, and her brother, who all lived there together, were allegedly able to escape.
On the property, deputies found four deceased dogs "in locked cages," as well as shell cases nearby, according to The Livingston Parish News.
An unidentified victim told WAFB, "We lost everything. I was able to save the clothes on our back, and the baby is okay."
The Sheriff’s Office identified Ricky Tullos as the suspect, and he was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail on charges of domestic abuse — aggravated assault, domestic abuse — aggravated child endangerment, false imprisonment, aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal use of a weapon, aggravated cruelty to animals, arson, resisting/force or violence, and possession of schedule 2 drugs, records show. Tullos also reportedly had a bench warrant.
