Georgia man allegedly killed his mother and aunt before turning gun on himself

GAINESVILLE, Ga. (TCD) -- A 24-year-old man allegedly killed his mother and aunt before turning a gun on himself.
According to a news release from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday, Dec. 21, the bodies of three victims were discovered in a home on the 4200 block of Holland Drive. Investigators reportedly responded to the scene shortly before 11:30 a.m. and found the bodies in a bedroom.
The Sheriff’s Office said the body of a man, later identified as Andrew Newberry, was located in the living room. Investigators believe he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The two other victims were later identified as twin sisters Ruth Newberry and Ruby Newberry, both 57, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Andrew is allegedly responsible for the women’s deaths.
Ruth was the suspect’s mother, and Ruby was his aunt, WAGA-TV reports.
An autopsy report will determine how Ruth Newberry and Ruby Newberry died.
Authorities did not disclose a motive for the killings.
