HOUSTON (TCD) -- A 37-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of killing his 35-year-old wife, whose body has not yet been found.
According to a news release, Crystal Lynch was reported missing to the Houston Police Department on May 7. She was allegedly with her husband, Marquise Glasper, the previous night in their apartment at 7728 West Gulf Bank Road.
A witness told police that Glasper believed his wife had an affair with another man. Glasper allegedly made comments in the past that he "would harm her if he ever found out about an affair."
According to KTRK-TV, Glasper was upset because Lynch allegedly went on a double date with a friend.
Police allege Glasper killed his wife on the evening of May 6. Police found blood in Lynch’s car, and during a search of their apartment, officers noted that "it appeared someone tried to clean up a crime scene."
Investigators reportedly found evidence of blood in the bedroom, two hammers, and ammunition. Court records obtained by KTRK allege there were also bleach stains on the bedroom wall.
Lynch’s daughter reportedly received text messages from her mother after her death that she believes were not written by Lynch.
According to police, officers with the SWAT team found Glasper on Saturday, Nov. 25, and took him into custody without incident. Glasper was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and tampering with evidence — human corpse. He remains held in the Harris County Jail on $400,000 bond.
KTRK reports that prosecutors are seeking to increase Glasper’s bond to $1 million.
