Reward offered in Lockhart woman’s homicide

LOCKHART, Texas -- (KXAN) -- The death of a young woman whose body was found in a field just a few miles northwest of Lockhart last Thursday is now being investigated as a homicide.
Nineteen-year-old Emilia Juarez's body was found during the early mornings hours near Farm to Market 2720 and Jolly Road.
While authorities haven't released how she died, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
Juarez's funeral is scheduled for noon Wednesday at the McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart.
